Rick and Isabella were both raised in poverty. Rick grew up in Brooklyn on public assistance. Isabella grew up in Dominica in an economically challenged home. Neither one of them lacked love. Both of them know what it means to go without.

By the grace of God, Rick and Isabella both went on to earn advanced degrees. They know first-hand what an education can do for a child.

Every year, Rick and Isabella Pina Ministries puts backpacks full of school supplies into the hands of children in the Dominican Republic. Without that backpack, those children start the school year with nothing.

2024: 750 backpacks

2025: 1,000 backpacks

2026: 1,000 backpacks, delivered on July 23 by our missionary team during the 2026 Mission Trip
